Book Review: The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks

The Last Song The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
After a couple of heavier books, I wanted what my friends and I describe as a beach read. A quick easy read that doesn't require any thinking, just easy enjoyment. I was at my favorite store (Tar-jay) and saw this book and picked it up (I have been looking forward to the movie, because I am a 12 year old at heart and l*o*v*e Miley Cyrus). I read it in only a couple of days. I have read a couple of Nicholas Sparks' books before, and about half way through the book, I remembered why it has been such a long time since I had read one, they are very bittersweet books. I love the stories, but I know I'm not going to get through them without crying. He always has sadness in his stories. It's refreshing when fiction isn't all roses and perfume, but still.... I think this is my favorite of his books that I have read, but beware and have the tissues close by.

Ohh!! Can I borrow it? That is the only Nicholas Sparks I haven't read. I love "beach reads". Haha! I just saw Dear John the other day. Have you seen it? It was interesting to me.... I'm sooo sorry about book club. It had been so annoying to have all this sickness in our family! I think we are all just about over it though. Yay!
