Hadley Family Trip

Brian's family likes to go on a trip together every year. These aren't big glamorous affairs, but we sure have fun. This is the third (I think) time we have been to Fish Lake together. Brian's brother, Mike, works for the DWR and likes to go to Fish Lake, and the rest of the family has decided it's fun too! This year, most of the family stayed at a duplex cabin at Bowery Haven, except Brian and I and the kids, who stayed with Mike and Shelly and their kids in the DWR cabin. We have stayed there a few times, and it's not new, or fancy, but the price is right. My kids like staying with Mike and Shelly and their kids, and I like having someone to play games with, so it works out great.

We went out on a couple of boats that were rented one day. But, we stayed in a lot too, as the weather wasn't great, and it was FREEZING! But it was fun to spend time with Brian's family. Here's some highlights.

This is the first time in years that we have gotten a picture of the whole family. They all fought me, because they were "camping" and didn't look good. But, as you can see, I won! As you can see, we are quite the crew when you get us all together. When we go "camping" we usually fend for ourselves for breakfasts and lunches, and then do dinner together in a group. A "team" of two "families" puts together a dinner each night and hosts the rest of the crew. It's a fun way to have a group meal without the same people being in charge each night. The added benefit is that you only have to prepare and clean up one dinner while you are there. It a lot of fun.

We also like to play games while we are together. We play Canasta a lot, although we are too big to all play together anymore.

Hopefully, we have many more family trips a head of us.
