The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I am in essence not a a non-fiction reader, but this book grabbed my attention and didn't let go. There is such a discrepancy between medical ethics as they stand today and as they were 60 years go. Henrietta Lacks was a pioneer and neither she or her family knew it for years. What an interesting and complex story that I would recommend to anyone with an interest in how science was forever changed my one less educated woman.
