Sunday Outing

There is a short hike about 1/2 hour from our house called the Children't Trail at the Kiln. We have been there before,but we decided to take a Sunday drive and ended up at a campground above the Trail called Oak Grove spending some time, then on the way home we stopped at the trail and took it. It was fun! We wanted to go to the campground and see if we could pull our trailer up there to camp (we can't, too steep of a dirt road) and we just hung out and played for a while. At the far end of the trail (it makes a loop) there is an old kiln that the miners used to use to make charchol. You can go in the kiln, it's huge. Along the path the plants that are native to the area are labled with drawings and signs made by children. It's a fun way for the kids to learn about native vegetation.
