That's what I am calling this time in our life, a new phase. I have put off blogging about this long enough, and I have been "blocked" as far as blogging goes, so I have to start somewhere. For those of you who don't know, Brian got laid off 3 weeks ago tomorrow. There are no jobs in St. George, or anywhere in Utah for that matter, doing what he does (architectural drafting for those of you who don't know). He has been applying and sending resumes all over the country. Some of the interesting places he has looked are St. Louis, Phoenix (of course since my family is there), Omaha, College Station (Texas).....and the list goes on. We are praying he finds something soon. In the mean time, I have gone back to work full time (it has been such a luxury to only work part time since moving here). I don't mind it, but it was nice not to have to. This economy has got to pick up sometime right? We would appreciate any prayers on our behalf. Pray that we don't have to move somewhere we will hate, that's all I'm asking at this point, just not somewhere we will hate. We have pretty much accepted that we will be moving, not a matter of if, but when. All in the Lord's time I suppose, he has always watched out for us in the past, no reason that should change now.
Wish her luck...

I will pray for you for sure. Moving is NEVER fun and ALWAYS scary. Love you and pray for the best!
Oh no! I fully understand right now what it's like to have your life completely up in the air..not fun at all. We'll pray for you...moving's not fun, especially when your kids have to make new friends all over. But I'm sure that Heavenly Father's watching over you and he's not going to send you to somewhere you'll hate! :0) *Big Hugs* -Jenn
I get that "blocked" blogging all the time, like right now I just don't feel like it. Hang in there, this too shall pass:)
Oh I am so sorry. That is not fun. We will pray for you fam. Good luck! Hope everything else is going well. I miss never seeing you at work!
We went through that right when the economy started to crash...and Christmas at that. It is a hard spot to be in and sometimes it can leave you feeling helpless. But hang in there. The one thing I have learned is you have to completely give it to the Lord. He will bless you whith what you need. the road may be short...it may be long but you will come out of it more blessed and humble. My prayers are with you and your family!
Hang in there, Teri. No problem is so great that the power of Christ is not greater. We'll miss you when you go.
Oh Teri! I am so sorry. I feel your pain, having just moved ourselves again on Thursday. Aren't you so glad you are trained as a nurse and have that to catch you? I hear nurses are really in demand now and I remember you really used to enjoy your work. I hope you will be blessed to end up where your family needs to be! I just want to throw my arms around you and tell you it will be okay. Have faith. Keep smiling! Love you!
Teri, I am so sorry about Brian's job. This economy is doing a number on most of us. I know that moving can be scary but sometimes it is also the best thing that can happen. I was born and raised in Texas until I was nine. Moving to Utah was a terrific shock, but it all worked out Ok. You and Brian and the kids will be fine. The Lord will take care of you. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
