I know Father’s Day is still over 2 weeks away, but I while I was blogging last night, I saw this picture of my Dad and decided I needed to blog about him. My Dad was my best friend (besides my sister of course) while I was growing up. He rarely got mad, and when he did, I usually more than deserved it. He took me fishing, which I know required and infinite amount of patience. He let me tag along when he ran errands to Angler’s Inn and Allied. He was a great teacher and a great coach. He could always be counted on to help me proofread my papers (and still helps me with this). He taught school and so he got to be off during the summers, which I loved. Sometimes as a teenager you don’t always want your parents to be home, but I really loved that we got to spend extra time together during the summers. My Dad is a devoted son. He took care of my grandparents, moving in with them when they could no longer care for themselves (they lived about 1.5 hours north of when we were in SLC). To this day he puts flowers and decorations on their graves several times a year (including last weekend for Memorial Day when he from Phoenix to SLC and then up to decorate them). My Dad still looks out for me, and supports me even when I know it’s difficult for him to watch me struggle. He has incredible love and patience for my kids, and spends time doing things with them that they like to do. When we were still in SLC he and my mom (who I will blog about separately) would take Emma camping with them for a few days every summer. Tears are running down my face as I write this, because I don’t take the time often enough to tell my Dad how much I appreciate all he has done for me in my life. how much I love him, and how much I miss having him close by. I love you Daddy!!! Thanks for everything you do for me.

He hasn't changed a bit! Looks the same as he did in 1994!!! I would love to get together as well! How is the job search?
