My Mom

Yes, twice in a month I get to rave about having great parents (although if you would listen more often I’d tell you I have great parents). It’s my mom’s birthday today. She’s turning….yeah like I’m going to tell you. I miss my mom. We moved from Salt Lake almost exactly 2 years ago, and I miss having my mom close. Granted they moved to be near Micki in February. Did I mention that I miss my mom? I have a great mom. My mom has always taken good care of me. She has never stopped worrying about me, and while I hate that I give her reasons to worry, I love that she loves me enough to still worry. I'm not sure I mentioned it, but I miss my mom. My mom gives of herself to the whole family. I don’t think I had any appreciation or idea of what she sacrificed for me, I still can’t wrap my head around it. My mom has the cleanest house of anyone I know, and I envy her that skill and dedication. My mom always knew what to do for me when I was sick. She has always been quick to step in and help me whenever I need it. My mom frequently calls me and my children the wrong name, but it doesn’t bother me, because I know she knows who I am. In case I hadn't already mentioned it, I miss my mom. I love that she has spent so much time in The Temple the last few years. I love the way she is always willing to serve, even if it’s not comfortable for her. I love the way she always makes sure my kids have what they need to start school. I love that she went with me on Emma’s first day of Kindergarten when I blubbered like a baby.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA!!! I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!!
