We aren't big celebraters on New Years. I usually try & work on New Years for this reason, but this year I didn't have to. We stayed in this year and celebrated as a family. We watched some VH1 show on the greatest Heavy Metal Bands or something (we ended up turning it off after a bit because it wasn't very child appropriate). Emma saw all those rockers with their big hair and wanted big hair too....so here's our big hair girl. We then watched some videos on YouTube and then we turned on Ratatouille. Brian promptly fell asleep at 10:30 p.m. Emma just wanted to stay up until midnight, when she heard the celebration outside, she looked at the clock and went to bed without finishing the movie or saying goodnight. Nathan was up until about 1:30 (he had taken a 4 hour nap that afternoon for some reason, so he wouldn't go to bed). It was a fun night for us, but boring by most people's standards.
