Superbowl Celebration

I have to admit, we love watching the Superbowl every year. Most years we don’t have a favorite team, but this year was different, because Brian served his mission in Louisiana, we were cheering for the Saints! It was so fun to see the underdog take the game, especially by a score of 31-17! But I’ll be honest, football doesn’t really hold the kids or my attention, so we decided to make Valentines Day Cards while we were watching.

Here’s my very creative six year olds combination of shapes, textures and animal prints sprinkled here and there (this is just a sample, we made 20 for his class, and some for his cousins too).

This is Emma’s creative round up. You can’t tell she’s a girl who loves girly colors can you? She loves to combine things in different ways to make something unique.

Here’s my three favorite that I made. I used old sheet music and a falling apart reading book. I keep trying to tell myself that I don’t have any problem tearing apart the reading book, but I do. It about gives me hives. But I am using it to make something new, otherwise it was bound for the garbage. Does it sound like I’m trying to justify it in my mind? I am.

No it’s not sideways, I put it on that way on purpose.

I loved this picture in the reading book.

Isn’t the title perfect?

Brian made us a really yummy dessert of pudding cake in the crock pot. Doesn’t it look scrumptious?
