We then had a picnic at a picnic site in Snow Canyon. It was a little chilly, but it was still fun. After that it was on to a couple of hikes that my little family had already done, but we really like, so we took the rest of the family. We first did Jenny's Canyon and then Pioneer Names, they are both easy short half mile hikes, but pretty ones. Jenny's canyon is a little slot canyon with fun alcoves to climb in and Pioneer Names goes by an area high up on the canyon wall where some pioneers wrote their names in axel grease. Here are a couple of pictures, the firs is from Jenny's canyon, the second from Pioneer names.
When we got home from hiking, two of my friends from our hometown, who were visiting family in the area, came to visit me. It was so wonderful to see friendly faces that I had missed. Holly and Kimberly, thanks for the fun visit, and for bringing me some cheer for the holidays from home!
